Previously, I was the VP of Products for Yahoo Media which included Yahoo! Finance, Y!Sports, Y!News, and Y!Entertainment (Movies, TV, OMG, Shine, Health, Video, and Games). The role included: general management, strategy, product marketing, product management, and user experience. My work on Yahoo! Finance, the #1 financial site on the Internet with more than 37 million users worldwide, led to my being included in Institutional Investor’s “Online Finance 40” annual list of the top e-finance innovators in September 2008 (at #13).
I have more than 20+ years of technology industry experience. Prior to joining Yahoo!, I held roles with Spoke Software, Public Mind, Enviz (acquired by Keynote), HP, Deloitte Consulting, and Texas Instruments.
I have been active in photography for 15 years and am interested in night photography, pinhole, architectural, and travel photography. These artists have been influential: Michael Kenna, David Hockney, Keith Carter, and Phil Borges. A major theme in my photography is blur vs sharpness of image, and how that contrast can represent fleeting experiences, memories, or emotions. I have participated in more than 10 group shows. My work in progress is posted on my flickr stream.
